Today Gordon Brown becomes our new Prime Minister, and a new chapter in this progressive labour government starts. It was sad to see Tony Blair depart the stage, but like all long serving Prime ministers he made a big mistake. That mistake was following George Bush into Iraq, for that reason he had to go.
I hope Gordon Brown is as good at running the country as he was at running the economy and i wish him all the best!

Hi Paul - sorry about the previous posts, my boyfriend is mad!
Got to be honest mate, I dont think this Labour Government is progressive. Surely Gordon was in favour of pummelling Iraq.
Lets flip the argument, what if we didnt go into Iraq and Saddam had destructive weapons and then pummelled us with nuclear shit, - dont think we'd be around to criticise anyone.
Also, when you ask the majority of Iraq's if they're happy Saddam's gone I think you find they are. Of course I feel for those who have lost loved ones out there but i'd like to think it will eventually become a better country in the long term. I appreciate the difficulties at present with the continued violence and death but who knows what the situation would have been like if Saddam wasnt overthrown.
Anyway, I dont know a thing about the economy, so please allow this serious post and enlighten me as to what Brown's done for it.
Also, I think I may vote Tory or Liberal next time ( instead of Labour) as I dont see any difference between the party's policies - again could you explain why I should, as i'm a disgruntled socialist.
Thanks again and sorry for the previous nonsense - Bye
